LET'S HELP PREVENT CLIMATE CHANGE

UNICEF Bangladesh works on the ground to protect children and to help ensure the safety, health, nutrition, clean water, and education for those affected by floods and other disasters. When a disaster strikes, your donation will make a difference. Please help support UNICEF to ensure we are ready before and when disasters happen.

Help UNICEF build resilience of communities against disasters in Bangladesh

I have been lucky enough to visit Bangladesh many times in sourcing trips.

Worst flooding to hit South Asia in living memory, are an outcome of climate change.

- 84% of the  Sylhet district are now submerged,

- Damaged 93k homes

- Over 200 people died

- 7.2 million need aid world’s most climate-vulnerable where the poor are disproportionately impacted

Even if average global temperatures increase modestly – by 2 degrees Celsius (3.6 Fahrenheit) over the average for pre-industrial times – flooding along the Brahmaputra river basin in northeastern India and Bangladesh is projected to increase by 24 percent.
