The Neem Spitalfields Overshirt is a modern men’s overshirt crafted from an exclusive, extremely soft blend of 30% Organic Certified Cotton and 70% GRS-certified Recycled Cotton.

This flannel weave has been developed in partnership with recycled-cotton specialists in Alicante, Spain and Bergamo, Italy, resulting in a fabric that is both soft and durable. We use this fibre blend for its comfort, reduced impact, and the ability to return the garment to us for responsible recycling at end of life.

Planet-positive by design, the recycled cotton content diverts valuable fibres from waste, while organic cotton supports lower-impact farming and is naturally gentle on the skin. Together, they create a warm flannel that is easy to wear and easy to care for, with machine-washable performance at 30°C.

Highly versatile, this piece works as a mid-layer in colder months and transitions seamlessly into a smart top-layer in warmer weather. The modern straight cropped hem and 5-button fastening make it suitable for both formal styling, with a blazer or suit, or dressed down with denim or a pair of Neem trousers. This recycled overshirt is made to be worn often and washed sparingly. The soft flannel naturally resists odour and holds its shape, so it doesn’t need cleaning after every wear. As an outer layer, it rarely sits directly against the skin, keeping marks and moisture minimal.

Washing too frequently can shorten fibres, reduce loft, and cause pilling, so less washing helps maintain softness, structure, and warmth. When needed, machine wash gently at 30°C and lay flat to dry to protect the fabric and reduce environmental impact. The fabric may shrink slightly (around 3%) after the first wash.

At the end of its life, return your overshirt through our Buy Back Scheme. Even with stains, rips, or burns, we can recycle the fabric into something new, and you’ll receive a credit toward your next Neem purchase.
