What actions have you taken to reduce your footprint

Regarding clothing I only wear natural fibres only, I pay close attention to detail and try and buy things I genuinely believe will last longer. Odd one but I wash clothes less often now, for example the ZQ Merino T shirt, I wear against the skin and only wash after every 3 – 4 wears.

Since moving to Cornwall I shop at local farm shops. I also pay huge attention to the seasons and now eat seasonally.

I’ve installed solar panels in our house which generates 20% of what we need in winter and close to 100% in summer. My next move is to install a ground source and a large-scale filter, my aim is to be off grid within the next 2 years

What would you suggest others do as a result of what you’ve experienced and seen?

Apply for government grants for insulation, we used for loft insulation, and it had a dramatic impact on our energy bills

What have you witnessed firsthand that has inspired or motivated you the most to do something, around climate change and biodiversity loss?

Working as a model I see the ugly side of the industry, the green washing, the micro collections within the company that barely register in terms of volume. We really need greater transparency and accountability in the men’s fashion industry. I’ve also witnessed samples couriered around the world for photo shoots, with little or no concern for the impact.
